After being named the “2012 Gay Car of the Year”, the Citroen DS4 is once again being placed into the “spotlights” with the French based automaker announcing its launch in Australia. Citroen says that the petrol engine range of the new DS4 is starting with the 1.6 liter turbo unit, which is developing a total output of 155 horsepower. The engine is mated to a six-speed semi-automatic transmission which is helping the hatchback accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.9 seconds.
Diesel lovers will get only one choice for the Australian Citroen DS4, the 1.6 liter engine, which is coming with 110 horsepower. Besides the extra 1,000 AUD to get the diesel version, the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time takes longer and it’s being done in 12.4 seconds. The DS4 DSport will also be available in Australia and this variant will come with 200 HP and a six-speed manual transmission.
The Citroen DS4 is coming with the C4-like bodywork, with added LED daytime running lights around the fog lamps, boomerage shaped tail lamps and 19-inch alloy wheels for a starting price of 35,990 AUD.
