Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the official starting price of the brand new A45 AMG in Australia, where the model will start at AUD74,900.
Being the world’s most powerful hot hatch comes with a price, a price which will have to be paid by its future customers if they will want to take their new rides home. According to the German based automaker, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will be launched in Australia in September and the model will have a starting price set at 74,900 AUD. The first AMG four-cylinder model and first all-wheel drive model will cost 2,500 AUD more than the BMW M135i hatchback, equipped with an automatic transmission, which is its closest rival.
The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which is producing an impressive 360 HP (256 kW), at 6,000 rpm, with a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), available between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm. The engine is mated to an AMG Speed Shift DCT seven-speed sports transmission, sending power to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is done in 4.6 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
