The Japanese based automaker Nissan is planning to launch the Altima sedan to Australia later on this year, where the model will be priced from less than 30,000 AUD.
According to the car manufacturer, the introduction of the Nissan Altima on the Australian auto market will kill the slow-selling Maxima. If this news has gotten you all excited on ordering the new Nissan Altima sedan, you should hold your pants because you will have to wait a few months until being able to get your hands on the model, because the carmaker will launch it in Australia in October, this year.
On its new market, the Nissan Altima sedan will get a 2.5 liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 136 kW, mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission). If this isn’t enough for you, Nissan will also offer a larger 3.5 liter V6 unit, which will be good for 201 kW. Just like we said above, the official starting price of the new Nissan Altima sedan in Australia will be set at less than 30,000 AUD. More details on the model will be announced close to its launch.
