Tata Motors is planning to introduce the Xenon Pickup on the Australian auto market, where the model will make its way into dealerships this October.
Australians will be able to order the new Tata Xenon Pickup in their homeland this October, as the Indian based automaker has announced the launch of the model. The pickup segment is almost non-existent in India so the company launching the new Xenon in Australia is an important step. The model in question will be powered by the same 2.2 liter DICOR diesel engine, which is now producing a total output of 148 HP and 320 Nm of torque.
This has been uprated from the previous 137.2 HP, while the torque figure has remained the same. The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, which is sending power to the four-wheel drive system. A total of six versions of the Xenon Pickup will be available in Australia, the Cab Chasiss, the Single Cab and the Double Cab, in both two-wheel or four-wheel drive system. The equipment list is standard throughout the range and it includes Bluetooth, USB, AUX, ESP, air conditioning, power steering and more. Prices for the model are believed to be set just under 35,000 AUD.
