Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the brand new Golf 7 to Australia in late April, where the model will also get a new entry-level version.
According to the German based automaker, the Volkswagen Golf 7 will now get a 1.2 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, which will produce a total output of 63 kW and it will have a peak torque of 160 Nm, for the new entry-level version, detuned from the original 77 kW and 175 Nm of torque. Future owners of the Golf 7 in Australia will also get to order the 1.4 liter turbocharged petrol unit, generating 103 kW and 250 Nm of torque.
Besides the new entry-level variant of the Volkswagen Golf 7, the popular German hatchback is also getting a lot of equipment for the base version, as the company has announced, which will help the brand attract more customers. Additional details on the brand new Volkswagen Golf 7 generation aimed towards Australia are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut. The model will arrive in the country in late April.
