To mark the arrival of the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese zodiac, Aston Martin, at the Auto China in Beijing has unveiled the Dragon 88 Limited Edition.
The British automaker will produce 88 limited-edition versions. You have a choice of models, the DBS Volante, Virage coupe and V8 Vantage S coupe, and three colours – Red Amethyst, Volcano Red or Champagne Gold.
Inside, Aston’s Bridge of Weir leather (in Spicy Red, Deep Purple and Chancellor Red respectively) is contrast-stitched in Sahara Tan thread, a color that complements the extensive use of gold-plating elsewhere on the car.
Other features in the Dragon 88 line include a Bang and Olufsen speaker system, new 10-spoke dragon edition alloy wheels and special black brake calipers.
All of the Aston Martin Dragon 88 models will come with 24-karat gold badging on the outside.
Aston Martin is confident about the spending power of the Chinese consumer in the medium and long term.
The British luxury carmaker, which has been selling cars in China since 2008, recently opened its flagship showroom in the Pudong district of Shanghai.
