AvtoVAZ has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation during this edition of the Moscow Motor Show, the El Lada electric vehicle.
With major automakers from across the world attending the 2012 Moscow Motor Show and also preparing for the 2012 Paris Motor Show, which will officially open its gates on the 27th of September, AvtoVAZ couldn’t stay away and it came forward to the Russian automotive event and pulled the wraps off the 2013 El Lada electric vehicle.
According to the car manufacturer, the El Lada electriv vehicle is actually based on the Lada Kalina and, besides is familiar styling, it’s getting an electric powertrain which is assuring a total range of up to 150 km (93 miles) on a single charge and a top speed of 130 km/h. AvtoVAZ is saying that when the battery of the El Lada EV will be depleted, this can be charged in approximately 8 hours. The first models of the El Lada electric will be used in the Stavropol region of Russia as taxis in the nearby future, as AvtoVAZ is saying in its official press release.
