Ayrton Senna’s Honda NSX going to auction image

A 22-year old Honda NSX, which was owned by Ayrton Senna, will be offered for sale at Silverstone Auctions’ Race Retro & Classic Car Sale.

Formula One fans, with enough money in their bank accounts, can head over to the SIlverstone Auctions where a 1992 Honda NSX, which was owned by Ayrton Senna, will be looking for a new owner. The car was originally purchased by Antonio Carlos de Almeida Braga, and it was driven by Senna in Portugal. After his death, it was parked for two years and then sold to a collector, who flipped it.

“Very rarely does a car with such pedigree and provenance come to market, especially with such a powerful and personal link to arguably the greatest F1 driver of all time, and as such, we’re incredibly excited to offer it for auction”, said nick Whale, the Silverstone Auctions managing director.

The Honda NSX has been in production between 1990 and 2005 and it was offered as a sports car with a two-door coupe body style. The model in question had a mid-engine and a rear-wheel layout, taking its power from either a 2,977 cc unit, with 270 HP and 280 Nm (210 lb-ft) of torque, or a 3,179 cc, with 290 HP and 304 Nm (224 lb-ft) of torque. Senna’s Honda NSX is believed to fetch between 75,000 and 85,000 GBP.
