The long wheelbase version of the new BMW 3-Series F30 has been officially presented to the public at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show in China.
After being unveiled not too long ago by the company, the all-new BMW 3-Series LWB is once again placed into the spotlights, this time with the car manufacturer officially presenting it at the Chinese automotive event. The BMW 3-Series long wheelbase will be offered in three versions, as the 320Li, the 328Li and the 335Li, with the engines being exactly the same as the ones found on the regular F30 320, 328 and 335.
“At the BMW Group, we are driven to delight all of our customers. And, of course, we do this by understanding their needs and desires in every market we serve. The BMW 3-Series long wheelbase is a perfect example. It Shows our focus on the Chinese customer, as well as our commitment to the Chinese market”, said Ian Robertson.
The new BMW 3-Series Li is riding on a 2,920 mm (114,9 in) wheelbase and the vehicle’s length has increased to 4,734 mm (186,4 in). The 320Li is coming with 184 BHP, the 328Li with 245 BHP and the 335Li with 306 BHP. All variants are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission in standard. BMW says that the long wheelbase version is adding an extra 11 cm to its wheelbase, compared to the regular 3-Series and if you weren’t convinced just yet that the F30 is a winner, I hope you are now. Audi and Mercedes will have a long way to go until being able to compete with the new 3-Series.
