Bentley has officially unveiled the Hybrid Concept, in a premiere, at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
Bentley Motors has just pulled the wraps off its latest creation. We’re talking about the Hybrid Concept, which has seen daylight, for the very first time, during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. The one-off vehicle has been based on the Mulsanne and it has a new plug-in hybrid system which is promising to increase the output by 25 percent and also to cut down on CO2 emissions by 70 percent.
This new hybrid system will be seen, for the very first time, on the production version of the SUV, which has been scheduled to hit the market in 2016 in regular version and a year later in hybrid variant. The powertrain is allowing the vehicle to run on electric power for a minimum of 50 km (31 miles), during which CO2 emissions are zero.
The Bentley Hybrid Concept can be easily distinguished by its several touches, such as the copper finishes of the headlamps, of the radiator shell bezel, of the profile lines, the badges or the brake calipers. The interior theme has been carried over and here we can notice the Mulliner Driving Specification upholstery, with its copper cross stitching.
