The brand new Citroen DS 6WR has been officially presented to the public, for the very first time, during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show.
Citroen has unveiled the new DS 6WR at the automotive event, which is taking place as we speak, in China. The model in question is basically a production version of the Wild Rubis Concept, seen back in 2013. This is the first SUV to wear the Citroen DS badge and it’s aimed at the Chinese automotive market, where it will be assembled and sold towards the end of this year.
The Citroen DS 6WR has an attractive design and the front fascia of the DS 5LS. Some plastic body cladding, around the wheel arches, can also be found, along with the xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, side chrome bar and glossy black mirror caps. The vehicle stands at 4,55 meters in length, 1,86 meters in width and 1,61 meters in height, riding on 19-inch alloy wheels. The wheelbase is 2,73 meters long.
Power is being provided by either an e-THP engine, with 160 HP, or by a larger THP, with 200 HP. The units are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which is sending power to the two-wheel drive. As we said above, the Citroen DS 6WR is aimed exclusively at the Chinese market, but don’t act too surprised if you will see it in other parts of the globe, over the following years.
