The French based automaker Peugeot has recently taken the wraps off its latest creation, the Urban Crossover Concept, during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show.
According to the car manufacturer, the Peugeot Urban Crossover Concept is actually a compact B-segment vehicle which is targeted to young city dwellers that are looking to escape the urban environment. Even if there is no official word on this just yet, the Peugeot Urban Crossover Concept might actually hit the production line as the Peugeot 2008, a 208-based SUV.
“At that start of the decade, 30 cities in the world had populations of more than 10 million. By 2050, 5.3 billion inhabitants of the planet will live in mega-conurbations. Peugeot, aware of changes in the world around it, led a reflection on a multi-role compact vehicle, equally at ease in the urban infrastructure, as on the open road”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
Peugeot’s latest creation, the Urban Crossover Concept, is actually 18 cm longer than the 208 and 22.5 cm shorter than the 3008, with a length of 4,140 mm and 1,740 mm in width. The Peugeot Urban Crossover has been designed in Sao Paulo, in Shanghai and in Paris by international design teams from Style Peugeot.
