The Spanish based automaker Seat has officially presented to the public the new Ibiza Cupra Concept, at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show in China.
With a large market still unexplored in the B-segment hot hatches, Seat has big plans and the company is currently testing waters with its latest creation, the Ibiza Cupra Concept. Everybody knows what the Leon Cupra looks and feels like so it isn’t that hard to imagine its smaller brother, the Ibiza, getting the same treatment, but if the model will actually hit the production line will probably be decided after the Chinese automotive event will close its gates.
The Seat Ibiza Cupra Concept is coming in Crono yellow paint and the hot hatch has been fitted with an aggressive body kit, a center-mounted exhaust system, bi-xenon headlights, a rear diffuser and a fresh set of 17-inch alloy wheels. The cabin is coming with leather sport seats in two tones, unique instrumentation, flat-bottom steering wheel, gloss trim black and a five-inch display for the infotainment system.
Power to the Seat Ibiza Cupra Concept is being provided by the 1.4 liter turbocharged TSI engine, which is developing a total output of 178 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission which is sending power to the front wheels. There is no official word on the vehicle’s performance just yet.
