The German based automaker Volkswagen has officially presented to the public the Lavida sedan, during the 2012 Beijing Motor Show in China.
According to the car manufacturer, the Volkswagen Lavida is actually inspired from the North American Passat and the model has similar lines and design features on the front and rear fascias which are similar to its over-seas brother. The Volkswagen Lavida is coming with some interesting features for the Chinese market which are now mandatory in the European Union, but there is no official word on whether the model will be launched on the Old Continent just yet.
“Similar to the new Passat, its completely restyled body reflects the current Volkswagen ‘DNA’. The face of the new Lavida has clean styling, and its body lines are sharp. Its overall styling fully embodies powerful, contemporary and sporty design principles”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The new Volkswagen Lavida is coming with standard features like the ABS, ESP and front airbags and the model will be offered on the local market with three engines and four equipment lines. However, details on these and the price list of the model remain unknown for the moment. More info on the model will be announced close to its launch, later this year.
