New details emerge on the first ever Bentley SUV as the model in question will be arriving in dealerships across the globe starting from next year.
According to a recent report, the Bentley Bentayga is currently in its final test phase and it will be introduced probably by the end of this year or even in early 2016. The model in question should be arriving in dealerships across the globe from next year and it will be borrowing some of the styling tweaks from the EXP-9F concept, shown back in 2012, but with the necessary aerodynamic modifications which will assure it a top speed of approximately 200 mph (320 km/h). Don’t expect identical vehicles to the one-off model because the Bentley SUV’s design will be evolutionary.
The first ever Bentley SUV will be riding on a completely new platform and it should be packing in a V8 engine, a larger W12 and these will be joined in later on by a plug-in hybrid, which is expected to be the most appreciated version. The latter will be capable of allowing the model to travel for 30 miles on battery power alone and this means that the SUV will be able to cope with the future zero-emissions legislation in cities. The Bentley Bentayga will be seen probably in Frankfurt, this September, or even in NAIAS, next January, so until its official unveil, a lot can change from the current plans. More details on the luxury SUV are limited at this time.
