Bentley will greet the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed with Bentayga, Flying Spur V8 S and Continental GT Speed.
Bentley’s return to Goodwood next weekend will see its very first ever full-luxury Bentayga SUV put through the challenging uphill test. Behind the wheel of the world’s fastest, most luxurious and most expensive sport utility vehicle will sit the renowned British racing driver Derek Bell, the ex-formula 1 driver and the five-time winner of the Le Mans 24 hours race.
The new Flying Spur V8 S – which sits between the standard V8 and the top of the line W12, will also tackle the climb on its UK debut, helped by its 521 horsepower 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine which pushes the limousine from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds. Bentley racers past and present will also give fans a taste of the brand’s rich motorsport heritage. The 4 ½ litre ‘Blower’ originally driven by Tim Birkin at Le Mans will make its way up the course, while the present day Continental GT3 race car will be handled by modern day Bentley Aussie Boy, David Brabham.
Finally, the third UK public debut is marked by the fastest production Bentley ever made, the Bentley Continental GT Speed, but the model will not be put to the test and it will just stay peacefully to be admired alongside a selection of Pre-owned models.
Away from the main Bentley stand, on Friday 24th June, a Continental GT V8 S Convertible designed by “the father of British pop-art”, Sir Peter Blake, will go under auction by Bonhams, with all proceeds going to the Care2Save Charitable Trust.
