The luxury automaker Bentley has brought its Continental GT V8 and GTC models to Malaysia, where they will become available for their future customers soon.
The Bentley Continental GT V8 is now joining the W12 which has made its local debut in Malaysia last year, in June, and the model is powered by the company’s 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 660 Nm available between 1,700 and 5,000 rpm. The unit is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission which is helping the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 303 km/h.
The luxurious vehicle is coming with the cylinder deactivation system which is allowing the GT V8 to work like a V4 under light throttle, offering an 8 percent fuel improvement. The Bentley Continental GT V8 is highlighted by the red Bentley “B”badge, the black gross matrix grille, the three-segment lower front bumper, the redesigned exhaust tailpipes and some other minor features. The model is riding on 20-inch alloy wheels in standard or 21-inch available as an option.
The Bentley Continental GTC was also brought to Malaysia after it’s made its debut last year in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show and the model is powered by a 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine, which is producing 567 HP and 700 Nm of torque, mated to the ZF 6HP28 transmission. The model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds before reaching a top speed of 314 km/h.
