Bentley has recently announced that the refreshed Continental GTC convertible and the Mulsanne sedan will be presented to the public at the 2012 Qatar Motor Show.
Even if the retouched Bentley Continental GTC convertible or the Mulsanne sedan aren’t that new, the automaker is planning to bring the two models to where the real money are, the 2012 Qatar Motor Show.
“We are delighted to be here in Qatar with the new GTC. It has always been the most emotional model in the Continental range and a showcase for Bentley design. With its tailored soft top, the GTC is a pure British convertible true to those classic Bentleys of the past. However, the technology, performance and overall design excellence invested in this model means that we are now writing a new chapter for the Bentley convertible driver”, said the member of board for Sales and Marketing within Bentley Motors, Alasdair Stewart.
As a reminder, the Bentley Continental GTC Convertible in its new V8 layout made its debut not too long ago and the model will be replacing the W12 version. The luxurious GTC Convertible V8 is powered by an Audi co-developed twin-turbo engine, generating 507 horsepower at 6.000 rpm and having a peak torque of 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) available between 1.700 and 5.000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h spring takes 4.8 seconds and the top speed is 303 km/h (188 mph). European prices for the Bentley Continental GTC V8 start at 149.600 EUR.
