Bentley will move its US headquarters to Herndon, Virginia from Boston, Massachusetts.
Bentley, the luxury auto brand, will move to the offices belonging to the Volkswagen Group of America, part of its “strategic realignment of its regional operations.” Volkswagen Group of America’s headquarters were built in 1955 in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and in 2007 it was moved to the VA location, the same year when Bentley moved from Michigan to Boston.
“The U.S. is our biggest market and the relocation will allow Bentley to focus our resources on our brand and to take further advantage of synergies with the Volkswagen Group here in the US,” said Bentley president and COO, Christophe Georges.
The relocation, which is expected to be finished by the end of this year, will offer Bentley the possibility to focus more on Americas’ markets and will make the cooperation with its VWGoA counterparts more efficient. The company is expected to offer more details about this change in the following months.
“We welcome the Bentley team to our Volkswagen Group of America headquarters,” said Jonathan Browning, president and CEO Volkswagen Group of America. “By having Audi, VW, Lamborghini and now Bentley in the same location, we can provide that support so each of the brands can continue to focus on its unique position in the marketplace.”
