The British ultra-luxury automaker is going to have crowded stands at the Frankfurt Motor Show thanks to the arrival of the all-new Continental GT, but we suspect extremely affluent clients might be more attracted to this new Mulsanne Design Series by Mulliner.
Getting a Bentley Continental GT these days is nothing short of “ordinary” – though you still get the same level of performance, luxury and personalization you except from the brand – it’s just that so many people have cash to spare it’s not an exclusive buy anymore. So if you want something to stand out, perhaps the other interesting introduction at Frankfurt will do – the Mulsanne Design Series by Mulliner. This model trades elegance for sportiness, with lots of carbon fiber, hereby Bentley premiering their all-new tessellated colored carbon fiber – apparently inspired by high-tech sportswear.
The interior follows suite – the Design Series features an aggressive, darker trim with gray and black shades accented by carbon fiber colors that can range from King Fisher and Metallic Bronze to Metallic Silver. The exterior also features dark trim with gloss black for the vertical vane grille, window surrounds and side vents. Even the “Flying B” emblem has been treated to the same dark theme, while the set of 21-inch Speed wheels give the Mulsanne a “purposeful stance.”
