While it just debuted on North American soil its latest mean machines, among them the Continental GT Speed – the fastest production Bentley ever, the British are also hard at work on the Nurburgring.
There, its pilots are pushing the pedal through the metal, wearing down a new Continental GT V8 prototype – which most likely should be the V8 range topping RS version.
While we’re usually treated in our spy shots with eye killing camouflage, this time the car is revealed in all its splendor – also showing us important new additions to the design. The updated exterior styling features a changed lower front bumper with new air intakes and other aerodynamics modifications. In the back there’s a big fixed rear wing and the revealing item – the standard four exhaust tip assembly that’s present on V8 models.
The current V8 chief is the “S” version, which has under the hood a 521 bhp 4.0litre twin-turbo V8 that takes the car to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and to a maximum speed of 310 km/h. That should be bested by the new RS with its power going up to 550 hp and featuring a new suspension setup.
