Bentley is planning to introduce a sporty concept to this edition of the Paris Motor Show, which will open its gates on the 27th of September.
The British luxury automaker isn’t saying anything official on this subject for the moment and if we know something is that when automaker isn’t really denying, than chances are that what started out as a rumor may confirm later. According to the guys at Car and Driver, Bentley is planning to unveil a new concept car at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and rumors are saying that this will be the sportiest car made by Bentley since the 1999 Hunaudieres, which was based on a Lamborghini platform and powered by a W16 engine.
The most powerful Bentley coupe is the Continental GT Speed, which is getting a 6-liter twin turbo W12 engine, producing a total output of 616 BHP (625 PS) at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft), available between 2,000 and 5,000 rpm. The Bentley Continental GT Speed can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and from 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) in 9.0 seconds. The impressive engine is mated to the new ZF eight-speed close-ratio automatic transmission which is sending all the power to the all-wheel drive system. The Continental GT Speed is burning 22.2L/100km urban, 10.1L/100km extra urban and 14.5L/100km combined, while the CO2 emissions stop at 338 g/km.
