The British based luxury automaker Bentley is planning to officially present the SUV Concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, on the 6th of March.
After initially being just a rumor a few months ago, the Bentley SUV is close to making its world debut, and some sources within the company are saying that the luxurious crossover will be officially presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The Bentley SUV is expected to be developed on the same VW PL71 platform, which underpins other crossovers such as the Audi Q7, the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg, but unlike its cousins, the Bentley SUV will be powered by a large W12 engine.
The upcoming Bentley SUV will also be available with a 4.0 liter V8 engine, besides the large W12 unit, along with an Audi sourced V12 TDI (diesel), but there isn’t any official word on this yet. The Bentley SUV is expected to be launched in 2014 with a price tag of around 150,000 GBP. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the Bentley SUV for now, but the company will announce mode next month, during the Geneva Motor Show. Besides the Bentley SUV, the VW Group is also planning to introduce the Lamborghini SUV at the same Swiss event next month.
