The British based luxury automaker Bentley is planning to introduce its SUV at the upcoming 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which will officially open its gates, during the press days, in March the 6th.
Even if there is no official word on when will the luxurious crossover make its official debut, recent rumors are saying that the Bentley SUV will most likely be presented to the public at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The same rumors which are announcing the Bentley SUV’s debut are also saying that the model might be developed on the same VW PL71 platform which underpins the VW Touareg, the Porsche Cayenne or the Audi Q7, but unlike its “brothers”, the luxurious crossover is expected to be powered by a W12 engine.
The Bentley SUV will most likely get its power from a W12 petrol engine, but a smaller 4.0 liter V8 unit, along with the Audi-sourced V12 TDI, are also in the books. No extra details on the Bentley SUV are being known for now but the model is expected to be launched in 2014 with a price tag of around GBP150,000. In other words, besides the Bentley SUV, the Volkswagen Group is also planning to introduce, at the same automotive event next month, the Lamborghini SUV too.
