Another impressively finished Porsche 918 Spyder has been delivered to another Asian country, Taiwan in this case.
The Porsche 918 Spyder is continuing to fascinate us as this is one of the most important hypercars of our decade, together with its two main rivals, the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari, so whenever such a model is being delivered, especially with it wearing a “wacky” paintjob which is out of the ordinary, photos are being taken and stories are being shared. This particular example of the German hybrid supercar is finished in a special matte black Martini livery and it has been also fitted with the optional Weissach package. The vehicle is sitting around in a Taiwan dealership at the moment, becore will be delivered to its customer.
Porsche has officially pulled the wraps off the 918 Spyder back in 2013, during the Frankfurt Motor Show. The model is the company’s most powerful production one ever and it is packing in a 4.6 liter V8 engine, backed up by two electric motors, each on one axle. The total output produced by this assembly stands at 887 HP (661 kW) and a whopping 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the wheels through a seven-speed gearbox with the PDK double clutch. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the Weissach Package Porsche 918 Spyder can reach in just 2.6 seconds, 0.2s faster than the standard model, with the top speed standing in at 340 km/h (210 mph).
