Blancpain Endurance: Valentino Rossi LIVE at Monza with 458 Italia [Photo Gallery]

Valentino Rossi, the Italian professional motorcycle racer and multiple MotoGP World Champion has just arrived at Monza. Rossi will race in the first round of the Blancpain Endurance Series that takes place at Monza on 13-15 April.

“We really decided on the last minute to participate in the Blancpain Endurance Series event in Monza and to race in partnership with my friend Uccio is a very big pleasure,” Rossi said.

Stephane Ratel, Founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group, the promoters of the Blancpain Endurance Series, is delighted to welcome Rossi to Monza and to GT racing.

Rossi will be up against 59 other sportscars including a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 which will be piloted by Australian former LeMans 24 Hour winner David Brabham.

Blancpain is the title sponsor and official timekeeper with commercial and technical support for the series comes in the shape of Michelin as the official tyre supplier and Audi as the official car supplier. Hexis, a long-time supporter of the SRO Motorsports Group, continues as official partner.
