BMW 1 Series M Coupe becomes the Alpha with 564 hp image

Alpha-N Performance has introduced a very comprehensive transformation program for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe – taking the power level to a supercar-matching 564 hp.

The power boost pack might shame the regular BMW M2 any day if they find each other in a battle – and we’re happy to report the BMW 1 Series M Coupe has not been forgotten by the tuning world. Alpha-N Performance has particularly shown some caress as it massaged the engine to deliver this astonishing 564 horsepower – the turbocharged straight-six engine was in its heyday rated at 340 hp. Naturally the torque level has also gone through the roof – it has been lifted from the standard 369 pound-feet (500 Nm) to a great 542 lb-ft (734 Nm).

All this power wizardry has required more than the usual software tinkering and for this project the tuner opted for a larger turbo. They also installed a bespoke intercooler, custom exhaust system, along with updated spark plugs, fuel pump, and ignition coil. Finally, the Alpha-N Performance specialists also fitted in a Snow Stage 3 water-methanol injection system and completely reworked the engine’s ECU.

As it stands to deliver 564 hp, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe was also gifted a competition grade clutch and a new single-mass flywheel made from high-grade steel. Öhlins delivered the fully adjustable coilover suspension, and the exterior might fly under the radar thanks to the subtle tweaks: BMW Performance front splitter and rear spoiler lip. The custom pack also touched the interior, where the driver and passenger will be hugged by a new set of seats and there’s also a sports steering wheel with LED LED upshift indicator and racecar-style central screen.
