The German based automaker BMW is planning to develop a sedan version of the 1-Series model which should hit the market sometimes in 2015.
Even if the car manufacturer didn’t announce anything official on this subject just yet and details are currently limited, the guys at Automotive News are saying that BMW is planning to develop a sedan version of the 1-Series. According to our source, the BMW 1-Series sedan will hit the market in 2015 and it will get rear-wheel drive.
A four-door hatchback version of the new 3-Series generation is also planned by BMW and this might make its way onto the market as soon as next year, when the 5-Series GT will be refreshed. An X4 model, which will slot between the X3 and the X5 is no longer a surprise for anyone and this will get the same roof shape as the popular X6.
BMW has big plans for its MINI sub brand and lineup will be expanded to ten models which will be produced on a new front-drive platform developed by the German carmaker. The new architecture will debut in 2014 on the third generation of the Cooper hatchback. More details on these new models will be officially announced soon.
