A rare BMW 1M Coupe has been crashed recently in the United Kingdom after its driver pushed the gas pedal too hard and lost control of the wheel.
Usually in the Car Crashes section we’re used to writing about expensive and rare Ferraris, discount hospital Lamborghinis, Paganis, Bugattis and so on, but every once in a while, a car appreciated by us gets destroyed, and the images, or image in this case, has to be shared. The most recent example in which a rare vehicle has met its end is coming all the way from the United Kingdom and it’s involving the 1M Coupe. The model in question has hit a lamp post, after the driver lost control of the wheel. Our guess is that no one was injured in the incident, judging by the looks of the performance coupe.
The BMW 1M Coupe has been recently replaced by the new M235i Coupe, after less than 5,000 units have been produced. The vehicle came with a 2,979cc turbocharged straight six-cylinder engine, producing a total output of 340 HP, at 5,900 rpm, and generating a peak torque of 500 Nm, available at 1,500 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in the BMW 1M Coupe takes just 4.9 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
