The first details of the brand new BMW 2-Series have just leaked all over the web in the 220i, 220d and M235i versions.
The company’s South African website has revealed the full official specs of the upcoming BMW 2-Series, in the 220i, 220d and M235i variants. The most impressive version of the model is the M235i Coupe, which will get a 3.0L six-cylinder engine under its hood, rated at 321 HP (240 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint in this model can be made in 4.8 seconds with the automatic and 5.0 seconds with the manual transmission, with a 250 km/h (155 mph) limited top speed.
Details on the BMW 220i Coupe have leaked too and thanks to BMW’s African division, we now know that the model will use a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine, which is good for 181 HP (135 kW) and 270 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7 seconds and top speed stands at 235 km/h. Last but not least, the BMW 220d Coupe, which is expected to become a best seller, has leaked too. The model will use a 2.0 liter diesel engine, generating 181 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 7.1 seconds with an automatic transmission and a top speed of 235 km/h (146 mph).
