BMW has announced a series of updated for the 2-Series Active Tourer which includes three new engines and the xDrive all-wheel drive system.
According to the car manufacturer, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will be coming with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol burner, producing 192 HP (141 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. This will be enough to allow it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and to reach a top speed of 230 km/h (142 mph). The 220d Active Tourer will also become available, with its 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, coming from the 2.0 liter four-cylinder diesel engine.
BMW will also offer a 216d Active Tourer, which will come with a 1.5 liter three-cylinder diesel engine, rated at 116 HP (85 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque. This last version will be capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 195 km/h (121 mph). The average fuel consumption will stand in at 3.8L – 3.9L / 100 km (72.4 – 74.3 mpg UK / 60.3 – 61.9 mpg US). An all-wheel drive system will be offered on the 220d and on the 225i.
