BMW is planning to introduce a new version of the recently unveiled 2-Series, the Cabrio, which is said to hit the market towards the end of 2014.
The brand new BMW 2-Series Cabrio is the next logical addition to the 2-Series lineup and according to a report issued by the guys at Car Advice, the model in question will be going official towards the end of this year. The first ever 2-Series Cabrio has been already caught testing in several parts of the Old Continent and it will replace the 1-Series Cabrio, whose production has been stopped back in October, 2013.
The upcoming BMW 2-Series Cabrio will be larger than its predecessor and it will be coming with a foldable soft top. The platform will be shared with its two-door coupe brother, along with the interior design and the engine lineup. Chances are that we will see the first production version of the new BMW 2-Series Cabrio, live, during the 2015 New York International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit. Additional details on this model remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
