The production version of the BMW 2-Series Cabrio has been caught in the open by our spy photographers as the model in question was wearing some minor camouflage on its front fascia and rear end.
The development of the BMW 2-Seris Cabrio is no longer a surprise for anyone and it seems that the drop top will follow the same design lines as its solid roof brother, except for some minor tweaks applied to the front fascia and to the rear end. The model in question has been spied on public roads and we can notice the camouflage wrap around the taillights, on the front bumper and around the headlights. The interior design is exactly the same as in the 2-Series Coupe.
The BMW 2-Series Cabrio will also borrow the same technologies and the engine lineup as its coupe brother so we only expect to see four-cylinder engines, like the 2.0 liter gasoline burner with 150 HP, 177 HP and 218 HP, along with the turbocharged diesel option, producing 214 HP. All units will be connected to a 6-speed manual transmission but the 8-speed automatic will become available as an option, along with the xDrive all-wheel drive system. BMW will unveil the 2-Series Cabrio this summer.
