BMW has released a large photo gallery with the 2-Series Convertible, marking the introduction of the model on the Old Continent.
Originally shown at the 2014 Paris Motor Show last October, the BMW 2-Series Convertible is being highlighted once again these days, with the help of a massive photo gallery which has been released by the car manufacturer in order to mark its introduction on the Old Continent. The drop-top version of the 2-Series will be launched in Europe in February and unlike its over-seas version, it will be packing in an engine lineup which will include seven units.
The base version will be the218i, which will pack a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine with 134 HP, being followed by the 220i which is rated at 184 HP (135 kW) and 270 Nm (199 lb-ft) of torque, coming from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. The 228i is getting the same unit but in an updated output of 245 P (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, which can also be had with the xDrive all-wheel drive system, as an option. Diesel lovers can order the 220d turbo diesel, with its 190 HP (140 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque from the 2.0 liter inline four-cylinder unit, the 225d with 224 HP and the 218d with 150 HP. The hottest version of the model will be the M235i, with its 326 HP (240 kW) and 450 Nm (322 lb-ft), and this will be maintained until the carmaker will decide on offering an M2 Convertible.
