BMW has recently announced its plans to offer an all-wheel drive option of the 2-Series Coupe, in the United States, where the model should arrive at dealerships this summer.
The German based automaker BMW is planning to expand the all new 2-Series Coupe lineup with the addition of an all-wheel drive version of the model. This will become available for order in the United States this summer, as the company has recently announced, and it should attract more customers into the brand, especially those who were looking into the model in question but didn’t quite feel the current rear-wheel drive.
According to the car manufacturer, the xDrive all-wheel drive will be offered by BMW for the 2-Series on the 228i version. This is currently priced from 33,050 USD but for the AWD system, customers will have to pay an extra 1,800 USD. The 228i is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is currently producing 240 HP and 255 lb-ft of torque. For the M235i, customers will have to pay 44,050 USD, for the 2WD, or 45,850 USD for the xDrive all-wheel drive version. More details on the model will be announced this summer, when it will be launched in the U.S.
