New spy photos with the upcoming BMW 2-Series Family Tourer have been provided by our spy photographers as the 7-seater has been spotted on the open road.
The BMW 2-Series Active Tourer is about to be increased with the addition of a brand new model, the 2-Series Family Tourer. The model in question will be using the same platform as the one already available and the only main difference will be in the back, where the newest one will be coming in a 7-seater version. Despite looking all promising, the two extra rear seats will be good for children only because no adult would fit them, just like in the case of almost every MPV or SUV out there, with three rows of seats.
The upcoming BMW 2-Series Family Tourer will be slightly longer and taller greenhouse towards the rear and it will be using the same engines from the Active Tourer, which will vary from the 1.5 liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel, to the top of the line 2 liter with 231 HP and 350 Nm of torque, in the 228i. xDrive all-wheel drive is a possibility too. More details on the model in question are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its unveil, probably by the end of this year.
