BMW has released a massive photo gallery with the newest addition to its front-wheel drive vehicle lineup, the 2-Series Gran Tourer.
After officially presenting it to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, BMW is now highlighting its newest compact minivan, the 2-Series Gran Tourer, with the help of a massive photo gallery which should be enough to let you check out just about every button, knob, feature and angle of the car. The model in question is longer than the 2-Series Active Tourer and this has a similar footprint to the previous 3-Series sedan generation, the E90.
The BMW 2-Series Gran Tourer stands at 4,556 mm length (4,526 mm for the E90), 1,800 mm in width (1,816 mm for the E90) and it is riding on a 2,780 mm long wheelbase (2,760 mm for the E90). The body, however, is much taller compared to the one of the mid-size sedan. This is the second vehicle produced by BMW which will not feature the traditional rear-wheel drive arrangement and it has room inside it to accommodate up to seven people.
The cabin of the compact minivan has similar styling, design and features to the 2-Series Active Tourer and it can also get the optional third row bench which can fold flat into the floor. If the extra two seats will not be used, cargo room can increase up to 1,905 liters. European will be able to choose between five turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, which will be ranging between 116 HP and 192 HP. The xDrive all-wheel drive will be offered on the 220d model.
