BMW has recently announced its plans to introduce the newly unveiled M3 and M4 Coupe, along with the 2-Series, during the 2014 NAIAS, next month.
The German based automaker BMW will bring the 2-Series, the M3 and the M4 Coupe to the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit and, in order to put the small vehicle into the spotlights once again, the company has confirmed its U.S. price, which has been set at $33,025 for the 228i and at $44,025 for the M235i. Both “figures” include the 925 USD destination charge and handling fee.
“The BMW 2 Series Coupe, an entirely new model series and successor to the 1 Series Coupe, as well as the BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupe, the latest chapter in the history of high-performance sports cars from BMW M, will make their world debuts at the 2014 North American International Auto Show on Monday, January 13, at the BMW Stand at COBO Center, One Washington Boulevard Detroit, MI 48226”, says BMW in its official press release.
The new generation of the BMW M3, along with its two-door brother, the M4 Coupe, is being powered by a 3,0 liter twin turbo straight six engine. The unit is producing a total output of 431 HP, at 5,500 – 7,300 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 550 Nm (405 lb-ft), available between 1,850 and 5,500 rpm. The unit can be mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
