BMW 3-Series GT officially unveiled

BMW has officially unveiled the brand new 3-Series GT, ahead of its public debut scheduled for next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

The brand new BMW 3-Series GT has leaked just a day before writing this article but now the model goes official on us, with the German based automaker pulling the wraps off its body. According to the car manufacturer, the BMW 3-Series GT can get the Sport Line, the Luxury Line or the Modern Line styling packages, with the M Sport being also available with its aerodynamic body kit, sportier suspension, shadow trim line and 18-inch alloy wheels.

BMW says that the 3-Series GT is 200 mm longer and 81 mm taller than the Touring and its wheelbase has been extended by 110 mm, and it’s coming with a choice of three engines, a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo diesel with 143 HP (105 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft), a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo diesel with 184 HP (135 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft), a 2.0L TwinPower with 184 HP (135 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft), a 2.0L TwinPower Turbo with 245 HP (180 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) and a 3.0L TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder with 306 HP (225 kW) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft). All units can b mated to a six-speed manual or to an optional eight-speed automatic transmission.
