Our spy photographers have managed to catch the brand new BMW 3-Series Plug-in Hybrid on camera, while it was being tested in a cold weather environment, in Scandinavia.
Just like many other vehicles in the company’s lineup, at present, the new generation of the BMW 3-Series will also receive a Plug-in Hybrid version and it seems that such a model is not that far away from hitting the dealerships, after being officially unveiled, because our spy photographers have managed to catch it on camera, while it was being tested, in Scandinavia, in a cold weather environment. The model in question will join the Active Hybrid in the lineup, which has been on the market for quite some time now.
The images posted below are showing us the BMW 3-Series Plug-in Hybrid, with its disguised lid, that covers the socket for the charger cable. The rest of the car remains unchanged from the petrol and diesel powered ones. We’re not sure for the moment what will power this model, but on the X5 eDrive Concept, there was a four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, along with a 9 HP (70 kW) electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery. No more details on the model are being known for the moment.
