The BMW 3-Series Sports Wagon will get a new engine option in the United States later on this year, in the shape of a diesel unit.
After the German based automaker BMW has announced that the 3-Series will be getting a new four-cylinder diesel engine in the United States, and with this version going on sale as the 328d with a 2.0L turbo diesel unit under its hood, the company is now placing the new 3-Series Sports Wagon into the spotlights, this time by saying that the model will receive a diesel option two, in the same country.
According to a recent report, BMW will introduce the 3-Series Sports Wagon diesel in the U.S. with the same 328d badge on its rear end. This version is also expected to come with the xDrive all-wheel drive. The engine will probably produce a total output of 180 HP and it will have a peak torque of 280 lb-ft. The BMW 328d Sports Wagon is expected to make its way onto the market in the United States later on this year. Additional details on the subject remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
