BMW 4-Series Cabrio rendered

A new rendering with the upcoming BMW 4-Series Cabrio has recently hit the web and it might provided us with a first look into the final production version of the model.

BMW has been working on the 4-Series Cabrio for quite some time now and the final production version of the model is expected to be unveiled later on this year. The BMW 4-Series Cabrio, or the F33 as it will also be known, will use a hard top instead of a soft top, because this has been appreciated by Chinese customers on the previous generation of the 3-Series Cabrio, despite the fact that Americans wanted a soft top, so the model could be easily differentiated from the Coupe.

BMW’s decision of using a hard top is the wisest and despite this will cost them some customers in the U.S., the model will be appreciated in Asian markets and on the Old Continent. The BMW 4-Series Cabrio is expected to use the same engine lineup as the Coupe, which will be carried over from the new 3-Series F30. A high performance M version of the 4-Series Cabrio will hit the market in early 2015. Additional details on the BMW 4-Series Cabrio are limited for the moment.
