BMW will introduce a hybrid version of the brand new 4-Series next month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, in a world premiere.
The German based automaker BMW will officially pull the wraps off a 4-Series Hybrid over the next few weeks, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet by the company and it was actually made by the Los Angeles Auto Show organizers, who have listed the new BMW “green” model, amongst the world debuts of the automotive event, in the official list.
Rumors are saying that the new BMW 4-Series Hybrid will get a coupe body style and it should use the same powertrain as the ActiveHybrid 3, which means that the 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine, backed up by a 55 HP (40 kW) electric motor, which, together, are producing a total output of 340 HP (250 kW). The sedan is capable of a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 5.3 seconds and the average fuel consumption stands at 5.9L / 100km (47.9 mpg UK / 39.8 mpg US). No specifications of the BMW 4-Series Hybrid have been announced yet so we will have to wait for the automotive event next month in order to meet the vehicle.
