BMW is planning to introduce a facelifted version of the new 5-Series generation over the following weeks, during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, in a world premiere.
The BMW 5-Series facelift has already leaked not too long ago but now the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker planning to finally pull the wraps off its body over the following weeks, during the 2013 Shanghai motor Show, in a world premiere. With the BMW 3-Series getting a new name for the Coupe and Convertible, the 4-Series, and with other models in the pipeline, everyone thought that the 5-Series has been forgotten. But BMW hasn’t had a last word, just yet.
The BMW 5-Series facelift is coming with optional adaptive LED lights, new front fog lights, redesigned headlights, a new exhaust pipe, a refreshed interior, new Connected Drive features and some other tweaks, which should make it different than the outgoing model. As for the engine lineup, the 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder petrol and diesel units are expected to remain the same. Unfortunately we don’t have any more details on the 5-Series facelift and we will have to wait for the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show to open its gates in order to see if BMW has really brought it to the event.
