The German based automaker BMW has recently announced that the a 520d version of the 5-Series Gran Turismo will hit the market in the nearby future.
According to the car manufacturer, the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo will get a 520d which will become available for the model with rear-wheel drive only. The BMW 520d Gran Turismo will come with a 2.0 liter inline four-cylinder engine, which will be developing a total output of 181 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The 520d Gran Turismo will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 213 km/h (135 mph). The model is burning 5.9 liters of fuel every 100 km urban, 5.0 liters / 100 km extra-urban and 5.3 liters / 100 km combined, while emitting 139 g/km CO2.
As a quick reminder, the BMW 5-Series Gran Turismo, which is also known as the 5-Series GT, was officially presented to the public at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show as a concept car. The model was designed by Christopher Weil and its dimensions are mimicking the 7-Series in length. The BMW 5-Series GT is 4,998 mm long, 1,901 mm wide and 1,559 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,070 mm.
