BMW has introduced a new exclusive model in China, the 530Le, where this has been shown during the 2014 Guangzhou Motor Show.
With the 2014th edition of the Guangzhou Motor Show going on as we speak, most carmakers couldn’t stay away from their largest market out there, China, so the introduction of some exclusive models aimed towards that part of Asia is no surprise. The model pictured below has been called the BMW 530Le and it is a China only version which will be produced by the Brilliance-BMW joint venture, in Shenyang, Lioaning Province, next year.
The brand new BMW 530Le has the N20 four-cylinder engine under its hood, working together with an electric motor. The internal combustion unit is rated at 242 HP (180 kW) and the total output of the assembly stands at 272 HP (203 kW). The most important figure is probably “2.1”, which is the average fuel consumption every 100 km (134.5 mpg UK / 112 mpg US). The CO2 emissions stand at 49 g/km and the vehicle can be driven in electric mode at a top speed of 120 km/h (74 mph) for up to 58 km (36 miles). No pricing details have been released.
