The first renderings with the BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe have recently hit the web and the images in question might provide us with a first look into what may become a final production model.
The German based automaker BMW has already announced its plans to introduce a brand new 8-Series, which should be slotted above the current 7-Series, which means that the company will enter the ultra luxury segment, where it will meet models like the Rolls-Royce Phantom and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman, which will replace the old Maybach models. But until that will happen, the Gran Coupe version of the BMW 8-Series has just been envisioned by the Theophilus Chin.
The model in question is based on the brand new BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe and we must admit that it looks simply stunning. If BMW will decide to put such a model into production, we highly suggest it to follow these lines. As a quick reminder, the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe Concept has been officially unveiled, for the first time, during the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, at Lake Como, in Italy, a few months ago. The model in question is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine and it has LED taillights, a mixture of high grade Italian leather signed by Foglizzo, very rare and very old wood trim, which is said to be approximately 48,000 years old and with some other interesting goodies.
