The first rendering with the BMW 860i, which will be based on the Pininfarina Gran Lusso V12 Concept, has recently hit the web, and it might provide us with a first look into the model.
After it was officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, just a few weeks ago, during the 2013 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, at Lake Como, in Italy, the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso V12 Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some renderings, which are showing us what the upcoming 860i could look like. The new BMW 860i will be based on the Pininfarina Gran Lusso and we must admit that both the concept car and the renderings look very appealing.
“My idea was to design what would be the production version of the concept “Gran Lusso Coupe”. The result was a 7-Series Coupe quite stylish and sporty, which could fulfill the role of resurrecting the deceased Series 8”, said the rendering artist.
As a quick reminder, the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe concept is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine, fitted under the long “nose”. The model has LED taillights and a mixture of high grade Italian leather signed by Foglizzo in the cabin, along with a very rare and very old wood trim, which is approximately 48,000 years old. BMW and Pininfarina didn’t release any extra details on the Gran Lusso Coupe.
