The BMW Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring tuning package will debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
The BMW-based manufacturer’s latest offering gets the same 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged powerplant and eight-speed ZF-developed transmission as its hot 5-series saloon.
Power is rated at 373kW while torque is set at a tree-stump-ripping 700Nm. Think of it as like a BMW 550i wagon, and some. Actually, think of it as like a new BMW M5 wagon. Zero to 100 km/h takes 4.8 seconds, a tenth of a second slower, and the to speed is 300 km/h. Fuel consumption for the B5 touring as Alpina says is 10.9 liter per 100 km with CO2 emissions of 255 g/km.
The car wears 20 inch Alpina CLassic rims with Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tyres in sizes 8.5×20 225/35 ZR20 at the front and 9.5×20 285/30 ZR20 at the rear.
ALPINA’s website says the B5 Touring is “the finely honed balance between athleticism, comfort and every-day luxury that has defined ALPINA automobiles for decades”.
