BMW announces extension of its M Performance parts catalogue image

At the Essen Motor Show the Bavarian automaker has decided to reveal the extension of its M Performance catalog – which now encompasses about 1, 300 elements.

Some of those were on display at the tuning show – and from a coilover suspension to a carbon fiber rear wing, there’s something to suit every taste. The M3 Sedan and M4 coupe will become available starting summer 2017 with a fixed rear wing made out of carbon fiber and housing the M stripes. There’s also going to be a sports suspension with red coil springs – for both the M3 and M4, allowing the driver to adjust the ride height between 5 and 20 millimeters (0.2 to 0.8 inches). The hand-crafted engine cover made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) is also for both midsize cars, and BMW says it “ensures that fascinating motor racing look” you’ve been looking for.

There are also lots of accessories available for other models. For example the M240i Convertible, a first release in the show circuit, has a new set of 19-inch, two-tone wheels, a black matte rear diffuser, and a new exhaust system equipped with carbon tailpipe trims. Inside it has been fitted with Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and race display, while there’s also a carbon fiber trim to spice things up. BMW also premiered at Essen the already revealed M Performance components for the new 5 Series sedan, which also include power hikes for the 530d, 530d xDrive, and the 540i.
